I don't hate on keymod, but I definitely don't hate on the largesse of my friends...re: free shit is awesome...I don't plan on mounting lasers on these...when I get the scratch for lasers again, that'll go on my Geisslle gun...

Nice! How does the Surefire can run with the H2 and the 10.5"? What amount of blow back do you get?

Runs flawlessly. Mostly a steady diet of Fed xm193 and xm855, Winny Q3131, and Prvi .223.

Blowback is less than other cans I've tried. The newer SOCOM2 cans have slightly more blowback then the Gen1 SOCOM cans IME.

Good to know. I have my eye on a old stock FA556.

My FA762 has been a great can, but mostly on a bolt gun.

The newer SOCOM cans actually will work on the older mounts. They just don't index on the older mounts(they freely spin). Just food for thought.

Got my first MRO in a trade last week and decided to put it on the 9" AAC gun. Been shooting this thing more lately, 90% of the time with cheap 147s from PNW. It's the factory AAC upper, with the LWRC short stock kit, AAC 762SDN-6 can, a Wilcox RAPTAR-LITE (300 lumen SF head instead of a rangefinder), and a modded VFG to fit the bottom of that KAC rail. Noveske chainsaw lower w/ an SSA-E. Been a very fun NVG-setup with the RAPTAR - got it at a great price and it really has everything I need, as I prefer running the X300V on my helmet if I need extra illumination rather than a vamp head on a scout.

My 5.56 precision fun-gun:
-BCM Stripped Upper
-White Oak Armament 18 inch Varmint Barrel, with their Wylde style chamber
-BCM KMR Rail, cut down to fit gas block
-Vortex 4-16 Viper HST in Aero mount
-173rd ABCT commemorative lower, with Geissele SSA-E
-Luth-AR stock

In retrospect I should have went with the WOA DMR barrel, which has a flash suppressor and a lighter profile. No matter, I'm not hiding from anyone. This gun is consistently sub MOA even with shit ammo, and I'm not a good shot, so I'll take it.

Built it on the concept of an ooooold LFer thread. Good free floated barrel, good trigger, good optic, good optic mount, equals accurate gun.

And the rifle I use the most.

12.5" 5.56 w/ K16i - It has a heavier profile Triarc Barrel that is extremely precise. Normally wears a Mini-4 until my Ti can gets approved.

Trent...You and I rock the same barrel from Triarc...and yes, it is epic. I'm not lucky enough to hang a K16I on mine, but I've got a Leupold VX-6 on there right now that is a pretty phenomenal setup as well.
