My close and mid range sticks...
The main general purpose rifle is what I call my Hodge Au Mod 0. It is NOT a Hodge, but Jim was incredibly gracious and helped me source many of the same parts he uses.

- Lasermax uni-IR (NOT duty grade at all and no illuminator, but it's light, cheap and basically workable for informal shooting under NODs)

- Kinect mlok rail for a bipod
- hodge/mayflower case and modified sling
- cerekoted 50/50 carbon black/burnt bronze- matches the Razor much closer than the photo appears
- mk262 fed from Okay gi mags with magpul followers and baseplates
Aside from being a pig, I couldn't be happier with it as a general purpose 5.56 gun. It's fast up close even with the can, usable day or night (white light or green screen) but still easy to run out at distance. Last month, after a single sighter to dope the wind I was repeatedly hitting 18x24 steel at 780m from a standing barricade. The m4a1 barrel was going to be a temporary thing, but at this point I think I'm going to keep it.
The shorty is a Sig MCX pistol, 9" 300blk barrel. It's a niche gun for the vehicle and other situations where I want something that's easily concealable but still usable out to 250m or so. Pistol format is definitely sub-optimal but it allows me to legally carry it with mag in place in my state with a concealed pistol license.
It's set up with:
- aimpoint T-2 on a Larue tall mount. I'll throw on the aimpoint 3x mag (in a Larue QD tip-off mount) if I need to stretch out.
- Geissele SSA
- stock sig irons and FH for now. Surefire thread-on Genesis can in ATF jail
- dbal i2 and SF 600u scout, with a SF dual switch at 11:30. The i2 also sucks but sucks less than the Lasermax
- SOB sling with a VTAC rail mount QD on the top rail
- Barnes 110gr black tip in Lancer mags. Lancers are always and only 300blk. GI mags are always and only 556.
