Professional Biography
Adam Roth is the founder and owner of Aridus Industries, an American firearms-accessory manufacturer focused on improving the practical capability of defensive shotguns. His work is particularly associated with the Beretta 1301 and A300 platforms, along with the Remington 870 and Mossberg 500/590.
Roth’s entry into manufacturing began with an ammunition-carriage problem. While working a midnight shift in a coal mine in 2011, he concluded that existing shotgun solutions did not meet his requirements. That problem led to the Aridus Quick-Detach Carrier, a removable receiver-mounted shotshell system. By 2015, prototypes were being evaluated by military and law-enforcement users, instructors, and private citizens.
Roth deliberately pursued professional shotgun instruction while developing equipment, using demanding training to expose weaknesses in both products and assumptions. Aridus later developed stock interfaces, handguards, optic mounts, controls, ammunition carriers, and internal components addressing practical limitations observed through use.
Aridus became especially influential in the modernization of the Beretta 1301 Tactical. Products such as the ASA-1301 stock adapter, CROM optic mount, Quick-Detach Carrier, SMRT follower, and Imperium handguard reflect a consistent process: identify a real limitation, develop a solution, test it under recoil and repetition, collect feedback, and revise the design.
Roth has continued attending shotgun training as a student and has also developed into an instructor. This combination of continuing education, product design, testing, manufacturing, and teaching keeps his equipment work connected to how serious users actually operate the platform.
