Erik here. I enlisted in the Army in '05. I studied Lit and Communication in college. I did 10 years in the Reserves and Guard, working as a quartermaster, heavy equipment operator, convoy gunner (Iraq '09), and admin specialist. I medically retired in '16 as a Sergeant. I took up gunsmithing and competitive shooting a few years ago and love it. My wife told me my pension is my fun fund, so aside from collecting antique WWII firearms I also buy almost anything that's new and interesting.

I also acquire firearms, carry them, modify them for duty/competition, refinish them, and then promise my wife I'll get around to reselling them but I just hide them in the back of my safe. Don't tell her.

Also I do some writing on halicrondays.wordpress.com to try and boost knowledge about gun ownership. (Shameless plug).

Eddy here. Active on FB pages. Citizen in SC. I've been a shooter for 10 years, and have concealed carried all day every day for 6 years. I've trained With Pat McNamara, John McPhee, Keith Heinauer, and Steve Cooper. Dryfire 5-7 times per week, and shoot a few times per month. I'm always looking to learn and grow and get better. I work in the life coaching and mentoring fields with teens.

Hi my name is Rob,

I'm a Sergeant with a Sheriff's Dept. in central CA. and I have been on the job for just over 17 years. During my career I have held various assignments including patrol, narcotic investigations and a tenure as the lead homicide detective for my department. I have also been a law enforcement firearms trainer for approximately 15 years. I am one of the armorers for my department and I'm certified on the Glock, M&P, 1911, S&W revolvers, AR/M4 and 870 platforms. I am also an active member of my agencies search and rescue dive team. On my own time, I enjoy exercising, shooting and I am an avid SCUBA diver. I'm glad I "discovered" this forum as it looks like a great place to hang out. I'm looking forward to hanging around and hopefully making some valuable contributions.

Hey guys (and gals, as it were...),
Another "Matt" here. Same profile name here as L/F for those of you who post there as well. Current police officer and former Marine. I enjoy pretty much anything that goes bang or makes me sweat, and especially those that do both at the same time. I'm here because I'm always trying to turn through the OODA loop a little tighter. Looking forward to being part of another professional community. Thanks for having me aboard.

Good Afternoon - I'm a life long shooting enthusiast. Spent 11 years on active duty with the Air Force and the last 10 years in full time law enforcement. I mostly compete at local level steel matches. Now to search for an avatar so I can lose the "Prince" symbol. lol!

G'day. Ex Australian Regular Army. Four and a bit years Infantry, followed by ten years in Intelligence. Now working as a security advisor. I have a passion for shooting and teaching others to shoot. I'm now trying to pursue that in my own time whilst dealing with laws that make California look like a cakewalk.

Another civilian checking in. I have trained with RWI in Western KY, also I have been a Concealed carry license holder for over 12 years. Currently shoot IDPA in a local club. Hope to learn for everyone here and contribute when I can.

Hello! Glenn here. I'm an active duty Combat Arms Instructor, for an Air Force Reserve Pararescue squadron, and I own a very small firearms training company in Portland Oregon, and I'm new here, so I'll read a bunch before posting much. Thanks.

My name is Joe Comfort. I’m an office lab tech (dermatopathology/histology), long range rifle shooter and hunting & outdoor enthusiast. I’m one of the founding members of a club here in Las Vegas, Nevada called Sin City Precision. We share information and host practical long range/PRS style events. I’ve also managed to learn quite a bit about building bolt guns after purchasing a lathe with a friend and relatively recently have gotten into photography.

I have absolutely zero Military or Law Enforcement experience.
