Professional Biography
Mark Luell is a self-defense instructor, writer, firearms practitioner, and founder of Growing Up Guns. His work treats armed self-defense as one part of a larger personal-protection system rather than as a substitute for awareness, avoidance, communication, physical skills, medical readiness, legal knowledge, and judgment.
Luell is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt and certified OC/pepper-spray instructor. He has pursued extensive training across firearms, defensive tactics, criminal behavior, medical response, and use-of-force law, applying those disciplines to the needs of ordinary people and families.
