Chris Woomer — VEIL Solutions Founder and Firearms Instructor

Christopher “Chris” Woomer is the founder of VEIL Solutions, a firearms instructor, competitive shooter, martial artist, equipment designer, consultant, and product developer. His work connects measurable shooting performance with defensive training, law-enforcement programs, equipment development, and implementation.

Professional Biography

Woomer’s professional development did not begin with a conventional military or police career. His background combines competitive shooting, armed security, concealed carry, martial arts, equipment development, extensive personal training, and direct work with law-enforcement agencies and SWAT personnel.

He began making Kydex equipment for himself and other competitive shooters. That work developed into VEIL Solutions, which expanded beyond holsters into firearms training, consulting, product design and development, program management, and implementation.

Competitive and Performance Shooting

Competition served as one of Woomer’s primary laboratories for developing technical skill. By 2019, industry reporting identified him as holding Master-class rankings in multiple pistol disciplines, a professional ranking in 3-Gun Nation’s Factory Division, and second place overall in the inaugural Tactical Athlete Games.

These results provide measurable evidence of performance. The timer and target produce immediate feedback, allowing techniques and equipment to be compared through outcomes rather than reputation alone.

Woomer’s later work moves beyond his individual shooting record into coaching and program development. Strong personal performance does not automatically create an effective instructor; teaching also requires observation, diagnosis, communication, curriculum design, measurement, and adaptation.

Red-Dot Pistols and Agency Training

Woomer was an early adopter of pistol-mounted red-dot sights, reporting that he began using them around 2011. He later assisted a sheriff’s office and its SWAT team during a transition to red-dot-equipped duty pistols and provided support to other agencies.

His law-enforcement work includes Performance Carbine Workshops hosted by the Georgia Tactical Officers Association. These programs emphasize measurable hard-skill development, movement, standards, and the creation of sustainable agency training programs rather than a collection of isolated drills.

VEIL Solutions and Product Development

VEIL Solutions developed from practical equipment needs into a broader organization serving armed citizens, competitors, military personnel, law enforcement, and government users. Woomer’s work includes holster and equipment design, firearms training, consulting, and implementation.

He also collaborated with Sons of Liberty Gun Works on a VEIL Solutions signature 13.7-inch rifle. The project applied lessons from competition and practical rifle use to component selection and system configuration.

His equipment work reinforces the relationship between the body, firearm, holster, other carried equipment, and intended task. A product should be evaluated not only by whether it functions independently, but by whether it integrates into the user’s complete system.

Integrated Defensive Skills

Woomer’s background in armed security and martial arts broadened his focus beyond marksmanship. Not every confrontation begins with enough time, distance, or legal justification to access a firearm immediately.

Competitive shooting provides measurable technical performance; concealed carry supplies defensive context; armed security adds professional responsibility; martial arts introduces physical contact and positional problems; equipment design explains how gear interacts with the body; and agency training adds institutional requirements. Those disciplines converge in his approach to instruction and product development.

P&S Connection

Woomer is included in the Extended Primary & Secondary Network as a firearms instructor, competitive shooter, equipment designer, and industry professional.
