Professional Biography
Daniel Reedy is a firearms writer, editor, instructor, and competitive shooter whose work connects practical shooting, defensive training, equipment evaluation, history, and firearms culture. He has produced an extensive body of work for Primer Peak, with additional publication through Athlon Outdoors, AmmoLand, Recoil Concealment, Air Force Times, and other outlets.
Reedy holds instructor certifications from Rangemaster, Agile Training & Consulting, and the NRA. He has continued his development through training with Craig Douglas, Tom Givens, Steve Fisher, and other established instructors. His work reflects the perspective of an active student as well as that of an instructor and editor.
His competitive experience includes USPSA, Cowboy Action Shooting, 3-Gun, and Steel Challenge. Those disciplines provide varied environments for evaluating technique, equipment, visual processing, accuracy, efficiency, and performance under time pressure.
