Professional Biography
Mike Green, also publicly identified as Michael Green, is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces soldier, professional firearms instructor, competitive shooter, government contractor, and founder of Green Ops. Established in 2005, Green Ops provides firearms and tactics training for armed citizens, competitive shooters, law-enforcement personnel, and military professionals.
Green served more than 15 years in Special Forces. His experience included Foreign Internal Defense, advanced-skills and antiterrorism instruction, management of an instructor-qualification program, service in a Commander’s In-Extremis Force focused on direct-action and counterterrorism missions, and duty as an instructor for the Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat course. In that role, he taught advanced marksmanship and close-quarters combat to Special Forces personnel.
Those assignments made instruction a recurring part of Green’s career rather than a later addition to it. Foreign Internal Defense required communicating technical skills across differences in language, culture, equipment, and prior experience. His work preparing other instructors added another dimension: developing people who would carry the material forward to their own students and organizations.
