Explaining both sides is more useful than treating a good product as flawless or rejecting an entire design because of one limitation.

For manufacturers, this feedback reduces the distance between design intention and field experience. Drawings and samples show what a product is supposed to do; end-user trials reveal whether fit, access, durability, integration, and behavior under load match that intention.

Applied Science and Design Tradeoffs
