Professional Biography

Jens Krogh is a firearms-industry executive, consultant, competitive shooter, hunter, marketer, and product-development professional. His career spans handguns, rifles, shotguns, hunting products, competition firearms, and professional-market equipment, giving him experience with customers and distribution channels that require substantially different approaches.

Krogh’s industry background includes positions with Beretta USA, Franchi, Benelli USA, STI International, Adams Arms, Blaser USA, and Walther Arms. Across those companies, he worked in sales, channel marketing, product management, executive leadership, and product-development roles.

Walther Arms hired Krogh in 2020 as Vice President of Marketing and Product Development. In that role, he led planning and execution across both functions. His tenure coincided with major development and launch activity surrounding Walther’s Performance Duty Pistol family, including the PDP and PDP F-Series, as well as other performance and sporting products.

The PDP F-Series illustrates the type of product-development work associated with Krogh’s tenure. Rather than treating a pistol for shooters with smaller hands as a cosmetic variation, development focused on functional barriers such as grip dimensions, trigger reach, and the force required to operate the slide. The broader lesson is that useful product development begins with a clearly identified user and measurable problems.

Krogh’s earlier positions exposed him to several different parts of the firearms market. His experience included sales work with Beretta USA, product management for Franchi, channel marketing with Benelli USA, sales and marketing leadership at STI International and Adams Arms, and executive responsibility at Blaser USA.

Those brands serve very different customers. A premium European hunting rifle, competition-oriented 2011 pistol, duty handgun, sporting shotgun, and AR-pattern rifle cannot be positioned, launched, or supported in exactly the same way. Each requires an understanding of the intended user, product requirements, dealer and distributor relationships, price position, competitive market, and the language that accurately explains its value.

Krogh’s background as a shooter and hunter provides an end-user perspective alongside the business experience. Repeated use can expose reliability, durability, ergonomic, sighting, and control issues that are difficult to identify through market data alone. At the same time, personal preference cannot replace structured research. His professional work brings those two forms of information together.

By 2025, Krogh had established KroCo Consulting, a venture focused on marketing and product-launch strategy for firearms and related companies. Through the consultancy, he advises businesses on launch timing, positioning, messaging, partnerships, internal coordination, and the problems that can undermine otherwise well-funded product introductions.

His approach emphasizes that a successful launch is not simply an advertising event. Product development, inventory, distribution, sales preparation, marketing, media relationships, training, and customer support must be coordinated before the public announcement. A product can be technically sound and still fail if the organization is not prepared to explain, deliver, and support it.

P&S Connection

Within the Extended P&S Network, Krogh contributes an industry-level view of how firearms and related products move from an identified requirement to a viable offering. His experience helps connect user feedback, product planning, engineering priorities, sales channels, launch strategy, and long-term brand credibility.

That perspective complements P&S discussions of equipment performance. A useful product must do more than attract attention at launch; it must address a real need, be represented honestly, reach the intended users, and remain supportable after the initial marketing cycle.
