Bracken developed a substantial portion of his professional-user experience at Nightforce Optics. He later served as a MIL-GOV-LE Senior Program Manager.
That role placed him within a demanding part of the firearms industry. Precision optics must perform optically and mechanically: maintain zero, provide repeatable adjustments, survive recoil and environmental exposure, integrate with mounting systems, and remain usable within the size and weight constraints of the weapon and mission.
During Bracken’s Nightforce period, the company’s ATACR line achieved significant visibility and adoption within U.S. Special Operations Command. EOTECH

Holographic sights emphasize rapid target acquisition, heads-up use, a large viewing window, and compatibility with night-vision and magnification systems. Integrating them on a working carbine can also involve lasers, thermal or night-vision equipment, backup sights, mounting height, available rail space, and user-specific setup.

KGM Technologies and Suppressor Programs
KGM Technologies announced Bracken as Director of Government Business Development in January 2024. The company credited him with fifteen years of sales and business-development experience and emphasized his understanding of government and international opportunities.
The move expanded his work from optics into suppressors and the ways they change weapon performance. Professional suppressor programs consider far more than sound reduction. Flash signature, recoil, blast, backpressure, durability, weight, length, attachment, accuracy, heat, maintenance, service life, and reliability of the host firearm may all affect the selection.
Bracken represented the safety and performance case for suppressors in professional use. Reduced sound, flash, blast, and recoil can improve communication, situational awareness, weapon control, low-light performance, and occupational exposure, particularly when rifles are fired around vehicles, structures, or other confined spaces.
Nevada Highway Patrol R556A2 Selection
In February 2025, KGM announced that the Nevada Department of Public Safety–Highway Patrol Division had selected the R556A2 suppressor for patrol rifles following evaluation. KGM stated that the suppressors were being fielded across the state.
Bracken publicly described the R556A2 as balancing sound, flash, and recoil reduction with minimal effect on the host rifle. He also framed duty-rifle suppressors as safety and performance equipment intended to help officers accomplish their mission more effectively.

IWI US
Bracken later joined IWI US as Director of Military/Government Business Development. The position brings his experience in optics, suppressors, agency procurement, government relationships, and professional-user requirements into complete small-arms programs.
IWI US supports American commercial, law-enforcement, and government users of weapon systems associated with Israel Weapon Industries. Its product families have included the TAVOR and ZION rifles, GAL and UZI-pattern systems, JERICHO and MASADA pistols, and other firearms intended for professional or commercial markets.
Complete firearms introduce broader lifecycle responsibilities than a single accessory. Agencies must consider ammunition, magazines, optics, suppressor compatibility, slings, holsters where applicable, armorer training, inspection standards, spare parts, documentation, instructor development, and the process for supporting a fleet of weapons over time.
Requirements Translation and Integration
Bracken’s movement across optics, electro-optics, suppressors, and firearms gives him a system-level view of professional equipment.
