Anyone have any insight on the Corps new URG’s for their M27’s? Barrel profile? What units are getting them etc? Apparently my old unit has them now. Curious where this whole thing goes.

I think these uppers are the "Reconnaissance Weapons Kit" that recon has been fielding in a limited number for a few years.

I believe they are either 10.4" or 11" barrels, presumably heavy profile. 10.4" "D" style seems more likely but I recall reading 11 somewhere previously.

They’re 11 or 11.5 as they are “A5” variant uppers which don’t come in 10.4 due to the adjustable gas block and the stand off required behind the muzzle device.

They also don’t have the drop off at the rear of the reciver like the old “D” and they have the new reverse tongue and groove barrel extension instead of the traditional style that could lead to cracked receivers
