Instructor Quals -
I'm looking for general or specific info on what agencies/companies/other organizations use as initial or continuing qual standards for instructors. I know that some take a department qual and simple set a higher standard where the regular dude has to shoot a 70% and the instructors a 90%. Some have a specific qual that works more "advanced" skills with much higher accuracy/speed standards and would require the instructors to actually practice on their own above and beyond to keep themselves to standard. If you do have a higher standard, why and what is it?
Pro's and Con's of both?
My goal is to set up something more akin to the latter. Our agency currently has no instructor standard except that you passed the state instructor course and can pass our qual. I think we can do better. If you have specific instructor type quals you would be willing to send over, PM me offline and I can provide a department email for contact.
