Can't say I am impressed with the new weapons overall. the 277 Fury being pretty much a necked down and up pressured 7.62x51. The rifle variant X5 I believe it is called would make a good designated rifleman piece but the X250 SAW is in my opinion much more of a lightened medium machine gun. To put out rounds like the M249 can it would have to be belt fed and crew served.

It appears the SAW version will only hold 50 rounds, less than 2 M4 magazines. That means suppressive fire will be much abbreviated unless it is being crew served and belt fed like a M60/M240. The M249 SAW was designed to give lots of accurate suppressive fire from one person and carries 200 rounds.
