Hexolit Ammo

Any of you have experience with the Hexolit 32 or Dupo 28 ammo from DDupleks? The actual design concept seems interesting to me because while the petals that break off may help performance of the round in some cases, the main core of the slug is still designed to penetrate deep. It seems it has potential as a good stopping round for larger critters one may encounter while out in the back country if it lives up to the claims. However, it does smell of snake oil...

Justin and I have discussed it and he brought up the similarity to the RIP concept. He is also not a fan of RIP.

Like Matt said I'm not a fan of RIP but this reminds me more of the old Fail Safe rifle bullets that would often shed their nose and then drive deep.
