DA SmithMy work gun is a 14" 870P with a Wilson +1, and Wilson Trak Lok sights. It came OEM with a Knoxx, it was quickly ditched for a set of Walnut 870P stocks. I have a Boonie Packer 2pt sling, and it just plain works.
My personal gun is very similar, with an 18" tube, and a Remington +2 extension, and rifle sights. Both are pretty much how I like them.

Aaron GrapI have a Winchester 1300 defender that I want to set up. Having a hell of a time with a white light solution. Is a knoxx non pistol grip worth it? It needs a full stock. Can't really complain for $100, never fired.

DA SmithBased on my experience, I would leave the Winchester as you have it. If you want a working gun, get an 870 or 590 if you want a pump. The Winchesters are very fast, but pretty fragile.

Daniel CordI did a great gauge course with Brian Hoffner and he ran a very bare bones short hogue stock on a pump. By the end of the course, shooters who were mainly LEO instructors were shedding extras.

Daniel CordGreat point Matt Landfair. It was a daytime only course so lights came off if they weren't the surefire pump. I meant "those guys" with vertical front grips on the pump or extra sights beyond ghost rings.

Justin CoyleIt's a work gun but they are rem 870 Border Patrols from scattergun tech, 5 shot side saddle, old school sure fire for end (stippled and with a Cree drop in led) and Hogue youth stock.

John John HornerCurrently building a abs Remington 870P. Factory 14" barrel w/ trijicon rifle night sights, Wilson 1shot extended tube, 70's vintage walnut wood.
Currently running a 5shot Mossberg 590A1 bone stock. And a 19" 1950's vintage Remington model 11. Slicked up action, and a gold plated trigger courtesy of my gunsmith buddies former wedding band. Runs like a raped ape.

Chuck HaggardWe've been using the 590s for years at work, it's a really good gun and I have come to prefer it to the 870. Factory ghost ring sights, add a side saddle, chop the stock an inch or two, add a sling and a light. The 14" 590 is REALLY nice indoors and for getting into and out of cars.

Rick YatesLooks mine would blend right in with many here.
18" 870, 2 shot WC extension, Magpul furniture, VC big dome safety, Mesa Tactical side saddle, Trijicon sights.
I plan to upgrade to a surefire forend but haven't yet.
