I chop the BAD levers to create a bigger surface to release the bolt. The battle Paddle (TM) attached to the Norgon Ambi - release is doing the same thing. I'm a lefty on rifles so my trigger finger touches those bits when I need them to do their respective jobs.

And you have better results with that than the KAC-style mag release?

Haven't tried the KAC so no knowledge. I think I've tried every other one out there though and my home made paddle on the Norgon works best.
