Ankle carry

I have used a Galco Ankle Glove on my support side ankle for the better part of a decade with a subcompact Glock. As a fat guy, it works much better for me than AIWB. One thing that you should be aware of is that your gun will pick up a lot of sock lint. I clean and lube once a week because of the amount of lint sticking to the pistol.

I have carried a 442 in a renegade holster for several years. For me it is great ground fighting set up and works well in seated positions in cars etc. As Chuck points out it isn't great for the standing entanglement scenario, but for shooting your way out from bottom in a deadly force situation, I haven't found a better set-up. I suggest spending a few extra dollars and get blue or red gun for whatever your carrying and running through some scenarios with it.
