Lecture: AR Armorer

Chad Albrecht

Chad Albrecht is a Master Gunsmith, AR-15 Armorer and Technical Instructor. He is the founder of School of the American Rifle, a technical school that focuses on the popular and modular, direct-impingement AR-15 Rifle. Chad is dedicated to guiding students of all skill levels to develop a deep and thorough understanding of the AR-15. In 2004 Chad completed an Apprentice Program under the tutelage of Master Gunsmith Scott Scharf. Employed by Scotts Gunsmithing, he served as a gunsmith for over 10 years. During that period, Chad took an affinity to the AR-15 platform, developing a reputation as Baltimore/Washington’s premier AR-15 Gunsmith. Since founding School of the American Rifle in 2015, he has steadily built and expanded that reputation to become one of the most highly sought after AR-15 technical experts in the nation. To date, over 11,000 AR-15’s have been serviced by Chad in his capacities as a Gunsmith and Technical Instructor. Chad exhibits a passion for teaching and unparalleled attention to detail. He has trained individuals from numerous local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies including; Baltimore City SWAT, NYPD, LAPD, Maryland State Police, US Marshall Service, US Customs and Border Protection, US Secret Service, and Federal Air Marshal Service. Multiple national and local level manufacturers send their employees to receive regular training from Chad at School of the American Rifle. Chad has worked with Roger Wang of Forward Controls Design and Mark Brown of Mark Brown Custom on product development. He has developed and produced multiple AR-15 tools and gauges. Bill Blowers

Bill Blowers served in the US Army for 6 years and has been a Police Officer for over 25 years. He has spent the bulk of his Law Enforcement career assigned to SWAT holding positions as a Sniper, Ballistic Shield Man, Mechanical/Ballistic Breacher, Assistant Team Leader and Team Leader on a large and busy regional SWAT team. He has planned or participated in approximately 1500 missions, he has over 5000 hours of documented training time, and holds instructor certifications in a variety of SWAT related topics. Bill is passionate about what he does and is driven to provide relevant and up to date training. In 2006 he started his training company Tap-Rack Tactical. Lecture: Training Habits of Highly Successful Gunfighters

Darryl Bolke

Darryl Bolke retired from a Southern California police department as a Sr. Corporal after 19.5 years as a full time officer due to injuries sustained during a violent on-duty confrontation. He was a Firearms Instructor and Armorer for the Special Weapons and Tactics Team for 17 years, and the primary instructor for all firearms systems used by his agency. He also provided mandatory firearms training for the fire department Bomb Squad and Arson investigators. He assisted on the investigation of over 75 officer involved shootings assisting the administrative investigation team with the firearms portion of these investigations. He provided expert testimony in regards to firearms usage and police tactics in numerous court cases. Bolke also developed and implemented a nationally recognized edged weapons policy and training program for law enforcement. His past assignments have included 3.5 years in a full time bicycle unit and 4 years as a Tactical Flight Officer in the Air Support Unit, as well as 10 years as a Field Training Officer and a year assignment primarily working vice. A majority of his career was working at night in a patrol environment. He also spent several years as a licensed Private Investigator specializing in high level corporate cases and worked high level executive/VIP protection and high threat protection details in the private sector. He has been on staff with several organizations providing firearms and edged weapons instruction. Darryl has had numerous published magazine articles in both the U.S. and Japan on firearms, edged weapons, and related equipment. He has also authored numerous California P.O.S.T. certified classes.
