I have a trijicon 1-4 scope that I’m wanting to zero. I’m need to zero at 100 yards with the bdc, but do i need to zero with the scope at 4x or 1x?

Doesn’t matter. The 0 won’t shift as you change magnification with that scope.

For zeroing I would use the highest magnification possible.

Ok i got it zeroed at 100 at 4x with good groups but when I turned it back to 1x my group seemed to have gotten bigger I am a little confused. Btw I’m using frontier ammo 55gr 193 if that helps any.

It got bigger because you were using less magnification, which means it’s harder to see the target. There shouldn’t have been a significant shift in the point of impact, but larger groups as you dial back magnification is typical.

there was little if any shift in zero but the group size did get bigger now that u explain it I’m kicking myself why I didn’t realize that. Seem so obvious now, but thanks to everyone for the info. Love this forum
