My current setup is a Tlr1 @12 in front of my front sight. (kmr 15 rail) I'm running this current setup for a few reasons but need some input.

- accessible via either shoulder
- streamlined when braced against doors / trees / objects for stability
-minimal shadowing

Is it worth mounting said light or another (surfire scout series) @ the 11?

Money, training and ease of use (all things) considered?

If so, m300 for compactness or m600 or m600 ultra? Primarily used outdoors with potential for indoors. Walls painted light color for info.

If moving tlr1 to the 11 position, would the housing of the light interfere with the flip up front sight (mbus)?

In my experience, the m300 is not the way to go if you are looking for a more powerful light for your rifle. In comparing my x300U against my friend's m300 outside, the x300U has both better spill, and seemed to illuminate objects at distance better as well. I have liked using a the surefire pistol light upside down myself.

+1 on the X300U at the 12 oclock position. If you don't mind having your view partially obscured, then it's a great spot for shooting around cover, using either shoulder etc. Switchology for the X300Us lends itself well to that spot since activation is the same from either side.
