When and where to use loctite? Red? Blue?

    I've used nail polish, and it works as advertised for thread locking.

    I worked with a gunsmith that refused to use LocTite, since he didn't want his customers pouring LocTite (yes, pouring LocTite) in every hole and preached "no LocTite" at the shop. Took a minute to get used to, but it worked fine. Was no harder than 242 to remove, and held as well.

    Be sure you use the "old skool" nail polish, and not one of the new gel polishes that require UV light to harden.
