I think it was last year I bought the Vortex Strike Eagle 1x6 from SWFA with their mount (S.S.A.L.T. 30mm). I really havent heard anything (good or bad) about their mounts. Its on a BCM BFH 16" Mid Length Upper Receiver Group w/ Centurion Arms C4 12" Handguard. I've been using the rifle for some local 3 gun matches. I was looking for a variable optic for another rifle I am putting togther which got me thinking about mounts. A lot of the people that I trust are using the Midwest Industries 30mm hi rise mounts. Then, of course, I started thinking way too much. I can see the cost difference. But what other differences are there? Who prefers the high mount?
