Here I will be posting how my rifles fit in the two sizes of the VertX Contingency Duffel Bag.
The two rifles are one with an LPVO and a red dot and I will list the details relevant to fitting in the rifle compartment below:
LPVO Gun: Geissele 2.04" mount and Kahles K16i, 14.5" with Surefire Warcomp
Dot Gun: 16" gun with BCM Gunfighter comp, A2 Receiver with RMR
So my testing of the VertX Contingency Duffel 45L.
With the pictured gun, this is the best it could fit. It is a LPVO gun with Geissele 2.04" mount and Kahles K16i, 14.5" with Surefire Warcomp, and gun has no mag. It cannot fit with a mag in it.
So with the Dot gun:
This was the farthest I could fit it in. It is a 16" gun with BCM Gunfighter comp, A2 Receiver with RMR on it, and no mag.
When trying to fit it in with a mag, you can see the optic snagging on the top of the bag.
Best long gun I have for the VertX Contingency Duffel 45L. Broken down PC9 with Holosun 507c and 21 rounder works fine.
So in conclusion of the 45L, both AR's are difficult to stuff into the back, but easy to actually pull out, but with this back they are too big to be carried in it anyway. So I would say at best a folded 12.5" would be able to fit. I returned the 45L and purchased the 85L.
