I'm looking at a Vortex PST Gun II 1-6.

They have 2 reticle choices VMR-2 MOA and VMR-2 MRAD, and I don't know the difference. Can someone school me on the difference? Is one better than the other?

Thanks very much in advance.

The VRM-2 MOA has markings based on MOA (Minute-of-Angle) angular measurements, and the VMR-2 MRAD has markings based on Mils (Milliradians) angular measurements. It's just the unit of measure used for the hash marks for holdovers / wind holds (and possibly using the reticle to range things).

Either will do the job. Here's a pretty good primer:

Personally, I prefer working in mils, and if you aren't already familiar with either one, that's what I'd suggest.

I looked into that scope a few months ago. Decided to go with PA 1 X 8 with ACSS reticle. Very happy with it. Liked the layout of the reticle. Lots of adjustment to focus if your eyes are poor like mine. It is as close as you can get at 1X. Easy to shoot with both eyes open and at 8X it's great for punching paper.
