Like any shooting match, how well run it is depends on the people running it. I participated in the first skirmish that Minnesota had a couple of years ago and it was fantastic. The guys that organized it had a well thought out stage progression with fun, challenging stages, and did a good job giving enough downtime to catch your breath and refit your gear after the last stage. I think the branding is a bit... campy? But it was an awesome time that had a group of shooters that was wonderfully supportive and encouraging. I don't know if I'll ever take the time to go do a full, two day tactical games match, but I really enjoyed the skirmish that I shot and look forward to shooting another one again whenever I can make it out to one.
