Steiner M5Xi vs Leupold Mk6

Anyone here try the Steiner M5Xi 3-15x50mm? Any thoughts when compared to a Leupold Mk6 3-18x44mm?

Looking to pick up a bigger optic for my SCAR-17 in a DMR type configuration. It's more or less between these two.

Have you considered the Vortex Razor II 1-6 or 3-18? Re: price alone they have an advantage over the equivalent Steiner or Leupold and I've yet to hear a complaint about Vortex's warranty service so if your SCAR-17 chews up the optic, getting a replacement shouldn't be any trouble...

Jake: I have a Mk6 1-6x20mm on it now. No problems.

Jvencius: I'm not the biggest fan of Vortex optics. Nothing I can quite put my finger on, just personal preference toward other manufacturers.

The Vortex HD II 3-18 and 4.5-27 are two of the best buys out there in the optics world. Loads of capability and desirable features, great glass, well built. Hefty, but solid.

I'm not partial to their lower end scopes, but the HD II's are legit.
