Shot and Failed the US Air Marshal Qualification Today

I’m not afraid to post my failures for everyone to see. I had time to squeeze in a quick practice session between errands this morning. I shot and failed the Air Marshal qualification. My goal was to get all of the hits in 8 inch circle on an IDPA target. I think I have to overcome the fact that the first acceptable sight picture I get is the best option and it’s always going to shave some time off. I felt like I was hung up on getting a perfect sight picture. I also feel that my draw from concealment can be more efficient. I think it may be time to revisit and restructure my dry fire routine. Here are my times from all of the stages of the qualification along with my targets.

If you pass every drill or qualification you encounter, you are not trying hard enough. It also takes courage to post your failures, so hats off to you!

That's a good goal, but you failed to pass your own personal qual. You probably passed the FAM qual, if you were firing on full size QIT targets instead.

I see what you’re saying. I think my times definitely need some improvement though.

Im not familiar with the dimensions of the FBI QIT target. Would you say the Bzone of a silhouette target was comparable?

Full size QIT (there are smaller so I hope I didn't misread) is this:

They are real big. Taller than IPSC/IDPA target, narrower, and weird bottle head transition.

Not sure which silhouette you mean, but it's pretty big.
