Scout Lights and EDC Heads

I think I remember hearing that the Scout Series and the Surefire EDC series lights use the same heads and are therefore interchangeable. Am I thinking correctly or imagining things?

I have an EDCL2-T head on an older M600 Scout (was 200 lumens). It works. One thing to note, on activation here’s a split second where the EDCL2-T head cycles through the low mode. Maybe 0.1-0.2 of a second.

The older Scout head also works on the EDCL2-T body, so now I also have a 200 lumen light in the “power went out” spare flashlights, candles, and light sticks drawer.
