Rust? New SW 432UC

Every time I get close to committing to one of these I see some post one place or another about QC issues on the UC models. I haven't been able to tell if this is just gen pop ganging up on something new or a legitimate and concerning trend.
 
Yup, like you, I have seen those posts as well. I decided to risk it because I really like the j-frame and wanted something better that improved on its deficiencies by offering better sights, trigger, and a lower recoil but just as good/nearly as good caliber as 38 Special. I'm sure that S&W will fix my gun, but it is bullshit that they seemingly don't give two shits about quality control out the gate.

I want the S&W Ultimate Carry revolver and the .32 H&R Magnum cartridge to find success in the market. However, given the number of problems reported on the internet with the Ultimate Carry lineup, I’m deeply worried this won’t happen at all. And then Smith and Wesson, and the other firearm makers, will blame the caliber instead of S&W shitty QC.
 
Update: Forgot to update this. S&W replaced the entire gun. The new gun is flawless, no problems whatsoever. Have run many boxes of different 32 HR and 32 SW Long through it (~500 rounds). Love the gun and feel it is reliable except for Fiocchi 32 s&w long wadcutters, which do not always ignite.
 
I’ve been running a 432 since it came out and it fast became my EDC. I had some issues with light strikes on MagTech wadcutters and replaced the CA-safe firing pin with the standard-length (an “extended” pin these days) and quit using MagTech. No problems since with 32 Long from S&B and Fiocchi or 32 H&R from High Desert, Lost River, and Federal. It wears a Hamre Forge Spegel hook grip and the cylinder is loaded with HDCC wadcutters. PS I know we’re not supposed to use 32 ACP in it, but they work…
