RMR on a riser?

I read somewhere within P&S threads on the G19 - Roland Special, that putting the RMR on a riser helps raise the RMR up so its easier to acquire the dot without having to duck in behind the pistol so much. I want to say Roland said he did that to his pistol.

Does anyone remember that thread or have experience on putting the RMR on a riser on their G19?
