RDS on pistols

Same. Just ordered my RMR. Promotive has Trijicon now and it's on point with other good guy discounts. Directly from Trijicon and in stock, get 'em while they're hot.

Great thread. Couple of questions for the SMEs. Has there been any push to standardize the adaptor plates for the red-dots? Just by eyeballing several different shops that offer the service it appears that Unity's adaptors are a bit more unique. Reason why I am asking is that I prefer not to screw myself at the get-go with a shop that is selling a "unique" adaptor setup that only they can work on (assuming they stay in business). ETA to make clear that I meant no offense to Unity's products...read my question at face value only.

Finally, did you guys have to swap out any of the springs (e.g, recoil spring) to compensate for the extra mass now riding on top of the slide? Are you PM at the same schedule or has that changed as well?

TIA

Just got my hands on a G19.4 MOS. I went with the RM06 (via Amazon Prime) and swapped in an Alpha Wolf threaded barrel. I'm extremely happy with the setup.

The only lesson learned is that you need to get the Trijicon RMR mounting kit to mount it on the MOS.

How long does it take to get a promotive to fulfill the order, still no RMR.

No clue. Hopefully soon. I ordered mine through promotive January 25th and still no update. Two days and Trijicon is getting a phone call. Promotive says to wait a month before contacting the seller. If I knew it was going to take this long I might have purchased locally. I'm getting antsy.

Trijicon's Order Guidelines on Promotive:
  • Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for integrating your order into our production schedule (see IMPORTANT NOTE below)
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the nature of our products, Trijicon is a “build to order” company. Please reference www.trijicon.com for current product lead times.

If you ordered January 25th then your optic is probably being produced right now. I can't find current lead times on their website, but at this point I wouldn't reasonably expect for you to have your optic yet.

ETA: The Promotive pricing isn't exactly a screaming deal. I can order a black RMR06 from Amazon right now for less.

We must be looking at different deals, I paid 70 bucks less than anything on Amazon for an RMR06, which may not be a screaming deal but some of us are ballin' on a budget. FYI Promotive pricing was on-par with my local LEO distributor even after shipping and handling.

So, if ordering through Promotive don't expect to see your optic for three months or so.

Good luck with that MOS.....

Whats most annoying to me is that many vendors that do RMR cuts don't include the proper length mounting screws for the RMR. They kinda leave it up to you to figure out on your own.

Who does everyone recommend for ordering the proper length RMR mounting screws?

Care to share any negative experiences you have (implied with the use of the ellipsis) with the MOS?

My experience with it has been great so far. There have been no malfunctions in the several hundred rounds I've put through it so far.

Call ATEi Nick, they may sell you the correct length screws, they supply them with one of their installations.

Doug at ATEi does all my work. IIRC he has his own screws made because he uses a fine thread that doesn't require thread locker so if the slide has already been tapped for another thread pitch it might require another route.
