If you've had light primer strikes from an M&P buy Glock 6lb striker springs. This is something I do in all my m&p's just for peace of mind. Unlock Glocks, it's also ok to use heavy striker springs with lighter recoil springs!
The only M&P's I've actually had light primer strikes happened on cold days with hard primers and Apex triggers. I actually have stopped "upgrading" to full apex kits, because I found the key to a good M&P trigger (for me at least) was simply getting the apex enhanced plunger and using the stock trigger.
