What knockoff/airsoft/paintball brands are being passed off as legitimate options?

Bonus points for specifically citing which pieces of knockoff stuff matches visually (or tries to) to the real deal.

I know my biggest pisser is when I go to gun shows and see a entire booth full of NC star and barska. and some dude selling knockoff tapco ak parts. In addition to this. Please Please Please be careful when buying a EoTech Magnifier if second hand. I have had two ripoffs come through the store and they are so convincing it took me like an hour to figure out they were china rips. One aimpoint magnifier as well that tricked me so much I actually called aimpoint to go step by step to prove it was fake to the customer. His box for the optic looked legit and all.

I suppose my question is, are we speaking with specific regard to nylon and soft goods or just gear in general?

Of all the "knockoffs" out there.... I would have to put UTG and Condor at the top in their respective categories. This isn't me being an apologist but more so me identifying my elitism and acknowledging some options.

I will say this with specific regard to UTG: If I were to land a maritime gig and I knew I was gonna have to dump guns before making port, I would probably go with like a Bushy or a Del-Ton with a shit load of UTG (American Made) and run that.

I have also used some TAPCO products to great success, specifically their sling plate. Talk about an awesome $12 investment.

I guess it kind of depends on the purpose of the gear you're looking at. I have a Voodoo jacket that was a gift from an employer (company logo embroidered on it and everything). It keeps me dry and doesn't bother me or anything, but it's hardly what I'd call quality gear. The pocket zippers broke clean off less than a week into it's use. I don't trust those UTG optics any further than I can throw them. That being said, I've used UTG rails on a couple of AR builds, because they fit the purpose and the budget. They aren't battle rifles by any means and I have little doubt that some serious use would probably fuck them up good.

The stuff that drives me crazy is that NCStar garbage that is marketed to airsofters, then finds its way into random "tactical" catalogs and shops. It's shoddy aluminum, crap glass, weak nylon and general crap.

FFI (Flash Force Industries) they do Crye uniform replicas. Semapo Gear does Crye CPC replicas. There are a couple companies that make replica JPCs and 6094s. There are several. And some cost almost as must as the real deal.

Strike industries has chapped my ass... They have some interesting/innovative looking designs that in reality are just plain garbage.
