So I picked up a blue label Glock 43 yesterday, whipped up a holster, and have been running it through dry fire like crazy. One thing I have noticed is that with the reversible mag release the magazine will get caught on the sharp corner of the release if the magazine was canted slightly to the right at all. I took it apart and took the dremel to it. A quick bevel to the edge and every insertion is smooth now. Just a little tidbit if anybody else runs into the problem.

Billy ChanthavisoukI've had the same problem but didn't want to take a dremel to the mag release

John KohrdtThe portion you dremel doesn't affect the function. The only reason it's an issue is due to it being ambi.

John KohrdtMatt James, on Friday I'll let you know. I'll be putting 200 124gr +p HSTs through it and 3-500 115gr RN. I don't have the unlimited ammu budget some do around here but I try.
I also just installed a set of trijicon HDs on it. I really don't think it's doing anything better than my wife's shield but I needed something highly concealable for certain times and my wife stopped letting me use the shield I bought her.

John KohrdtOne big thing I've noticed is the can get a much better grip on it compared to the 26. I have huge hands but I can get a hell of a grip on it. The 26 never felt right in my hands.
6 rounds bothers me a lot and with the lack of extended mags right now I'll be carrying at least two reloads. It's worth it for me through because the thing disappears when concealed which is exactly what I needed.

John KohrdtInitial Observations of the Glock 43.
Well I had a great time at the range this morning. 150 124GR federal HST +P, 300 freedom munition 115GR RN, and 50 rounds mixed old carry ammo to include gold sabers, hst's and mostly 125GR +P corbons. One FTF on ...See More

Rick LabistreDefinitely. Seems that the Trijicon HD's are the best I can find for the 43 so far.

Calvin PrestwichHeinie Specialty Products, their Heinie Straight 8 are hands down the best site out there. They are ready to go for the G43 as well.

Matt JamesFO an option?

Calvin PrestwichNo, they have tritium or blacked out. Or you can order just the rear in tritium and order a FO for the front.
I switched from double FO in the rear a couple years back because it was two bright and over powering the front sight. I do like it in the front though.
