Federal Tactical Precision Buckshot

Was in a shotgun class last week, 13 shooters, better than half using FC 00 buck, most if not all these were cylinder bore guns. The guys using FC were getting 6” patterns at 25 yds and kept all pellets on the chest out to 35 yds.

Every shotgun class I have attended, FED Flight Control loads had the tightest groups. I’m sold. All I run is FFC 8 or 9 pellet 00.

I'm curious about the 'Precision' name there. The original version of what became FliteControl was marketed as "Choke" LE buckshot, before the owner licensed the wad design to Federal and Hornady. One of the options available with Choke was "Precision" buckshot, which was an 8-pellet 00 load with a sealed wad, which left the payload acting like a gigantic Glaser slug (one big enough to actually work). I have vague memories of Federal producing a version of that back in maybe the late 90s/early 00s when they first released FliteControl, but Google-fu has failed me due to the generic nature of the search terms.
