I've never used steel through ETS mags yet so I haven't encountered that. I've shot a variety of Federal, Fiocchi, Blazer and reloaded ammo with no issues so far. Approximately how many rounds have you put through that mag, possibly a weak spring?
I'm aware the ETS dimensions differ (like other aftermarket ones which tend to be wider) than OEM mags which has caused issues in feeding properly, namely in the Ruger PC-C. Mine still happen to drop free from my 19 and 17 though.
