Ear Pro Grab and Go

I kind of look at eye and ear pro the same way I do soft armor, plates and helmets.

There are times when they are not needed.
There are times when they might be needed, so you should be wearing them.
There are times when you need them now, and making a poor decision earlier will have life long consequences.
There are times when you need them now, but the higher priority is ending the gunfight rather than hiding from it, behind the armor that you are now frantically trying to don while taking rounds.
The idea being that assaulters get shot less when they are assaulting than when they are static or on defense.

A lot of this has to do with basic situational awareness.

Home-
You hear a bump in the night and make the reasonable decision to arm yourself to check it out. You expect to make noise with the gun as needed- So put on the ear and eye pro as soon as your blaster is on line.

Work-
You are serving a warrant on a dude or property with history. You are taking close friends with longguns along on the visit. You need to have your eye and ear pro on in addition to plates and helmet.

Vehicle-
Your at a T light. You see a dude in your rear view mirror with a pistol walking between cars, and looking in them. Check your blaster, then don your ears. Now you are free to be offensive or defensive as needed/your personality dictates. Remember, freebies like this don't come along everyday.

Vehicle-
Routine Patrol- Call comes in of "Shots fired at XXX location" which is near you. Don your ears while making best speed to the location.

If you use your active ear pro on a constant basis, you don't really need to practice putting it on- It is not rocket science. Just put it on, then solve the problem with your blaster, or bumper or whatever.
