Can you dye GoreTex?

I recently found a set of surplus ECWCS Gen 3 GoreTex top and bottoms. The only problem is… they’re ACU pattern. I’d like to try to dye them, if possible, to get some more use out of them.

Has anyone tried to dye GoreTex before? If so, how did you do it, and how did it turn out? I’m sure the results wouldn’t be perfect, but I don’t mind. I’d just like the color to be more practical.

Yes, you can. There's a bunch of YouTube tutorials on it. S&S Training Solutions, the guys who put on Winter Forge, highly recommend it for cost effective hard shells.

I didn't either until I watched the Winter Forge videos from Brent0331 and S&S. It looks pretty good when dyed brown or green too! I've been thinking of picking up some old ACUs from the local surplus shop and dying them up as cache cammies.
