Ban Coincedence?

So New Zealand has banned military style semi-automatics and assault rifles as of yesterday...
The Bump Stock ban goes into effect on next Tuesday; No option for tax stamp. no other process. Own a bumpstock on Wednesday, be a fellon elligable for $250k fine and 10 years prison....
Coincidental timing...right?

I might just be dumb but someone is going to have to help me connect the dots here.... They are two knee-jerk reactions to two different shootings across the globe in two different countries. What exactly is the point?

Nope, no connection..Just saying the speed at which the bans are becoming law is scary, regardless of where you live.....

Our bumpstock ban has been in the works for a while after a loon shot up a concert with one.
The NZ ban is a result of a loon slaughtering people in meme fashion while trying to start a race war.
The only dots to connect are loons using guns. In short, laws will only affect the law abiding since those bent on breaking the law
really don't care what the law says.
