Advice on attack precursor books

I am doing some research on violence, up close and personal, in preparation for an upcoming class with some LEOs. I am looking for any recommendations on literature pertaining to this topic. I have found a plethora of books by Rory Miller, are they a good source of info? Thanks for your time.

Varg Freeborn's book Violence of Mind, along with Left of Bang (though reading "Combat Hunter" over and over and over gets a little annoying) and The Gift of Fear are great places to start.

Thank you all for your suggestions. Now a couple of chapters into Violence of Mind. SOLID book.
Varg is a great guy, you really should look into taking some of his training, he travels around the eastern part of the US pretty often and his training isnt super expensive.

I just heard a lecture, but I highly recommend even just trying to get into one of his mindset classes or workshops

Gift of Fear and other stuff by Gavin de Becker. Gift of Fear is the best place to start with his stuff though.
