Dan Wesson DWX: 1911/CZ-75 hybrid Fullsize and Compact

This is pretty exciting. Dan Wesson is owned by CZ, so hopefully they can just take the CZ optics mounting system and put it on these. I think that’s one of the better mounting systems on the market, so it would be a major plus to this pistol.

I’d be willing to bet many of the 2011 frame-mounted optic bridges would be compatible with these guns. If I weren’t already heavily invested in the P320 platform, I’d be getting one of the railed compact DWX models and turning it into a hybrid Roland Special-Open gun; Frame-mounted RDS, micro comp, Surefire X300U, and low-profile magwell
 
Got my hands on both of these (unfortunately, not shooting them) at a trade show a bit over a week ago. Both full and compact felt great, smooth action, snug fit. Ergonomics felt great. If I understood don’t, talking to the rep, the full and compact use different mags (P10 vs CZ75 compact mags, if I recall right). They def need to bump up the advertising, it could be a real winner.
