Setting up the Flex system for the first time

Hi,
I'm looking for advice on getting the Flex system with a Floodlight holster setup properly for me to make it as comfortable as it can be. I just got my system in today and started putting it together but I don't think I've gotten the holster to ride in the correct position. When trying to sit, it digs in between my thigh and belly even with my belt as tight as I can tolerate.

I'm a complete noob when it comes to AIWB, and CC in general and wanting to start out right. I understand there's a Facebook Users group for Phlster holsters, but I don't use facebook at all, so that's a resource that's unavailable to me.

Are there any other resources out there that I could leverage?

Thanks.

Every person is built a little differently. You're going to have to experiment with belt mounting and exact positioning. I carry closer to 12:30 and the end of the gun sits between the jewels and my thigh.

What type of belt are you carrying with?

My current belt is a Graith Specialist, the previous version with the metal buckle.

With trying to figure out the Flex, am I better off trying just to get an optimum position for the holster with out the rest of the flex panel first, then add it back on the holster with the extra pouches?

My recommendation is definitely to set the system up around the holster.

Absolutely. The Flex is great, but the priority is that holster. Since you're new to concealed carry in general and AIWB specifically, I almost want to suggest setting the Flex aside for now and focusing on the gun/holster.

Thanks, I took the flex off the holster last night and I'm just going to work with the holster for a while.

All the best gear in the world still has to be set up in a way which you can manage. You'll get it.

I’ve carried AIWB for about 5 years and even I still rotate things a bit. Everyone’s different but I find some discomfort creeps in over weeks and months of daily carry. I might get a hot spot now and again or the weight of the pistol is felt caddy corner in my opposite lower back. I primarily carry a Spotlight with an RMR G34 but I rotate to a stripped down G19 in an Eidolon to offset these issues or even some strong side stuff now and again. Spare mag might come off the belt totally or go into a pocket. Usually if I have an issue, a day or so of change helps balance me. I can remember a time a daily carried a custom Springfield 1911 full size IWB plus spare mag and a J frame in the opposite side pocket. That kinda weight makes me cringe now.
