I am interested in getting a gun that I can conceal very well for certain places that don't allow concealed carry. A few weeks ago, I was in D.C.'s Union Station when there was a false alarm of an active shooter. It was pretty terrifying and seeing how ineffective the police were at dealing with the situation, even when there was not actually a shooter, was eye opening. The risk-reward of carrying in an NPE situation is a whole other discussion that is beyond the scope of what I'm looking to get into right now.
What are some good options for this type of carry? It seems like the single stack striker-fired pistol (Shield, Glock 43X, P365) and the small frame revolver are the two most popular choices. Is there any decent option for a single stack, polymer frame DA/SA semi-auto?
How do the single-stack striker guns compare to their double-stack counterparts in real-world concealability? If there's not a big difference, there are a ton of polymer frame double stack DA/SA compacts out there.
